O.P. Suggestion : Background
Hiya,
I have a suggestion for a future version of Messenger plus.
I would be impressed if there was an ability to customize the MSN background from the classic light blue shade with the MSN logo in the bottom right hand corner to any picture of your choice.
I can remember with MSN 5 and Windows Messenger that you could add your own background to replace the classic white background and I just wondered whether the same thing would be possible in MSN 6.
Thanks very much,
Frankiedaman

RE: Suggestion : Background
just change what ever picture you want into GIF format, and then remane it to lvback.gif, and put it in you MSN directory.
Some people have had problems with this but it works for me and some others

H's not on about convo windows, because MSN now supports this. as for the background on contact list, it works for me what madman66 said.

Thanx every1, i didn't know that you could do that.
2 Questions tho,
1) The MSN directory is C:\Program Files\MSN Messenger right? (just double checking)
2) Also, does the gif file have to be exactly the same resolution as the MSN window or does MSN automatically stretch the gif so it fits.
Thanx again,
Frankiedaman

RE: Suggestion : Background
That is the right directory.
and i think it automatically stretchs otherwise you'd have to make a new pic every time you resize the window .
Okay just tested it, it doesnt stretch it, it right-bottom aligns it. in other words keep's your pic in the bottom right corner of the window

No, like madman66 said, the picture isn't resized nor stretched; it's put in the right bottom corner as it is...

RE: Suggestion : Background
Possible, yes. Easy, no. You'll probably find the image is cached in memory when Messenger is loaded, or the file is locked (probably the latter).
