"Note that by default, when your status is set to Busy, you won't hear the Notifications sounds. Hearing the sounds when status is set to Busy can be turned on in the Preferences panel, in the General Options section, under Sound Config."
That's exactly what I did, but I still can't hear any notification sounds, and I also don't see appear a notification on the screen.
How can I solve this problem?

Do u have notifications enabled at al??

Plus! > Preferences > Notifications > pop up options > "Enable messenger Plus! notifications", check that box

Yes, I did. But it still doesn't work. Any other idea what it may be?

That option only enables Plus! notifications but MSN Messenger's ones are sitll blocked (alert toasts and sounds)

And what do you mean with 'only Plus notifications'? Is there any way to make it possible to hear and see notifications when my status is set to busy?

If you mean the original MSN Messenger ones, no, it's not possible

you can hear them by..clicking your msn name >personal settings>  and uncheck the "show me "busy" and block my alerts..." stuff.  It'll only play a sound when the thing happens though.

That's what I did... But I still can't hear or see anything when I'm "busy", and someone's coming online... How weird?
