I installed Paint Shop today, and me and my dodgyness just went threw the steps fast and didnt read. Sooo, I noticed my icons for my images  on my computer had the PaintShop icon, and were all to open in paintshop, so  then I uninstaller Paint Shop and was goign to install it back untill now I noticed that all my Images on my computer have the unkown icon by them(see screenie). How do I get the default icons back to the image?? Your help is greatly apprieciated.

right click a file> Open WIth> Select Program (might not be there.)> pick the program and tell it to always use that program when opening hte file type

Ya, but I want the file image like the gif type image, jpg type image, png type image...I know that all of them oepn in IE and bmp stuff in paint....

Get a program like

Iphile which is just a standalone app that lets you change those type of icons for each file type , You can make them prettier then they were to begin with

I was gonna say 'do a system restore' but I see you use win 98

Of course you can do it manually for all the file extensions Paintshop fucked up....

I found something that might work but the program was only for xp...

Found this program which you can use for easy changing your file type icons.. donno if you can also do something as reset to system default icons or something.. you should try it out

Can't you just tell PSP to "drop" the association of those files? Hopefully they'll go back to whatever they were associated with before.

File > Preferences > File Format Associations

I did read it, but it was hard to understand, and I didn't think you'd actually give up on PSP that quick.
