I love the enhanced contact list feature in msgplus but feel it is missing one thing, which is the ability to rename the contact from it.  Custom names are probably my most used feature and it is much more annoying to right click, go down to Messenger Plus! Extras, then to rename contact; it would be much easier for it to be in that menu.

Yes, AgentX, that would be very handy! I second that!

The filosofy of that menu is that there will only be much used functions in it. And the "rename contact"-function is normaly something you only use once or twice for every contact to make his custome name. Once it is set up, you normaly leave it alone.

The menu is meant to be very friendly, easy, and above all: clear to use, for first time users without the cluttering of to much (less used) options...

So that's why it isn't there I suppose...

Not really. I use the F2 key constantly in Explorer, not to rename a file, but to have it edit the filename so I can quickly copy it, and have the filename. It would be an extremely handy function to have in Plus! as contact names is something which is very handy to be able to quickly access, certainly consciddering the kind of odd nicknames people have on MSN Messenger nowadays..

we were talking about renaming a contact, not renaming a file in windows, you can't compare those two  ... And having F2 for renaming a contact would be nice of course. But again, you can't compare that to the suggestion of adding the rename feature in a menu which is meant for things you use all the time and realy shouldn't be "cluttered"...

I'll think about adding something like that in the future
