with msn messenger you can use your own backgrounds. and you can easily share a background with the contact you are talking to by clicking "share current background".  I think that there should be an option like this that allows you to "share current display picture". in my list of display pictures, i have deleted some of the originals, or can't find them anymore, or it takes a while sometimes to find, and sent the file. A feature added to plus, or a plugin that allows you to send your display picture to another contact simply by the click of a button would be really useful, just like the "share current background" feature already built into msn messenger 6.0+

here would be a few screenshots to support this idea. the first one would be the more practacil idea if implimented into plus, but if that was not able to work, the second screenshot could still work fine. and if this idea was decided to be made into a plugin for msgplus, the third screenshot would be cool.

yeah its a good idea, except i think its pretty pointless, just get your friend to get SPNG and it has a emoticon and display picture stealer! which they can just type /xcedpstealer and select any picture you've used for awhile (since There cache has been cleared).
This way its not only ur current picture, but anyones picture!
anyways just my idea, someone might be willing to make a plugin out there for you!

yeah thats a lot more complicated than my idea, although what you suggested i am currently doing. i was just thinking of the less advanced plus! users. it would be a convienent feature, considering i have a lot of people that would like to have certain DP's of mine, it would be easier to send.

If it was implemented like the currently shared files then that would be a bit more usefull then only sharing your current DP (for the reasons Chestah gave): Clicking on "share DP" will bring up a dialog similar to the "change your DP"-dialog in Messenger, only now you select the DP you want to send, et voila...

yeah CookieRevised, that would an excellent idea! i REALLY think that would be a nice little add on for Plus or a plugin I would definatly use, along with many other people, as it is far easier than other methods i use now, or having them have to steal my pic and save it etc...
