In a conversation window, you can go to Plus! > Plugins > Mike's l33tificator and click l33tification in the submenu that appears there.
After that, directly type your message; you will see that it will look like
/xleet Your Message
where Your Message is the message you wish to send.
Alternatively, you can directly type /xleet before the text you wish to l33tify
