how can i tell what version of ps2 i have?

i went to this site: http://www.modchip.com/ps2/ps2id.htm

and it said that if my DVD Driver
is: 3.00 (v9)
is: 3.02 (v10)

but i checked mine, and it says 3.00U

so what version do i have?

Well, an easy way is to just buy your game at your local retailer.

If you insist on stealing the develoeprs of your favorite games though, knwo that the only reliable way to check the version of a PS2 is by checking the SCPH. If your case, it would seem you have version 9. But once again, it doesn't really matter except of you plan on making dirty "backups" .
