Hi!

When you add someone new, you only see his nickname like joedoe@hotmail.com
But this day, I saw someone's nickname, although I have never seen this person online.(I just added them a few days ago) How is it possible that I can see someone's nickname, although I have never seen them online?
The most logical answer would be that they are "appear offline" or "blocked" me already.

What do u guys think?

Well, if you have Plus! installed, why not take a look into Event Logs file?

Maybe they came online, but went offline quickly so u didn't notice

Nope, this wouldn't make any sense...has to do with the protocol...

Most likely thing, yeah...or they signed on just as you signed off...

It's ahppened to me too, I added them and their name showed up, despite never being online. I checked in plus and it said my last new chat with them was 120 days ago, which means that they have never been online since I added them.
