Hi,
It would be cool that Messenger display a photo, a personalized statut, a message when we use an application.
For example, when I am working with photoshop, 3dsmax, when I'm surfing the web, when I'm playing CS, It would be great that msn notify it automaticaly by detecting the focused window and the processes used.

Maybe my poor english is not clear ?

I think it's possible since It detects quite well when we are typing a message.

It would be possible... but a mess.... also there would have to be a time "limit" of some sort, say it checks each 10-15 seconds or whatever....
The bad thing is that the way you would have to do this is to get the Hwnd caption of the active app/window... and those caption might not always be very informative... and may sometimes give out more info than you would want... if you open up a notepad txt with the name "readme.txt", and the plugin detects this it would read it as "Notepad - Readme.txt" and that would also be the text it puts in your name.... another thing is that some apps don't have useful captions there, maybe the caption of 3dsmax might as well be "skislgassg" or whatever... depends on the creators.... I see the ups and downs on this.... but it might be worth a try, and sounds like a good idea... should just be very easy to disable again in case your doing something that your contacts need not to know about... .... ....

That's not at all the same thing.... when you are typing, you are typing right into the "textbox" of the messenger window and this is VERY easy for msn messenger to detect this.... so this has nothing to do with what you requested....

I have a friend of mine who begin this plug and It works properly but the funniest thing is when the focus is on the chat window of my friend, the title is like this : "name - conversation (my name - conversation (his name - conversation (my name - conversation ... etc )   . he should truncate the title.

Moreover, is there a way to display the application's icon (like toshop...) in front of the contact name or the DP's stead, like plus! does ?
Of course, there would be commands like /disable to disable this plug.
There would be also some filters to prevent info sending.
...

PS: Use simple English language plz

Please if you can, also add the ability to change dp automatically when you change your status (maybe with a configuration windows where you can set status <=> dp associations), I'd like this feature

ADP already provides status dependant display pictures
