hi, i have this error with msn.

when my contacts have a status set the status text is backwards but their nick is the right away around

i asked msn messenger support and heres the email they gave me:

i haved tried the chat room but no one knows whats wrong

i use msn messenger 6.2 with the latest msg plus

i have tried re-installing messenger and msg plus but to no avail.

does anyone have an idea?

this is nothing but a little text trick they are playing with their nickname very simple to do

and i dont see your screenshot

[img][attachment][/img] should work when u wanna show an attached image

Screenshot works fine on my side. And as established on IRC, it's all the person's contacts, which I highly doubt all of them would have it.

ya true that is very unlikely i know i have it at the end of my name and thats exactly what it does so i just thought id throw that suggestion out there

Yes, you'll get that reply if you say that you are running Messenger Plus! and if you are not clear in your bugreport. Before reporting make sure it is a MSN Messenger bug only! To verify this you need to Startup MSN Messenger without Plus!. If you still have that "error" then it is a MSN Messenger problem and you can report it to MSN. However, don't mention you use Messenger Plus! in that case because the error was also there when you didn't had Plus! running.

General Tip: Do NOT report bugs the MSN Messenger if you're not 200% sure if it is a MSN Messenger bug or a Messenger Plus! bug!!!

Thus..... my questions to you... Is it still happening to all of your contacts when you run MSN Messenger without Messenger Plus!? And does it happen to all of your contacts or only a few of them?

it's just some contacts thinking they are 'cool' by putting a special symbol behind their name which turns everything behind it around the wrong way

Not if it happens with ALL the contacts. Then that is very unlikely to be the case (as said previously by ~INVASION~)

i disabled msg plus and it still does it.

ill try that support again and say i uninstalled msgplus and its still not working

yeah you're right Cookie, but is that the case BlancMange? is absolutely everyone's status like that?
