I tried several times to use MSN messenger with Plus! and at the same time Yahoo Messenger. But when I start these 2 softwares alltogether, MSN Messenger becomes black and my computer restarts....

I tried on Windows2000 and Windows98, I had the same result.

(For information :  I have installed the path MSN polygamy as well, but I don't think the problem comes from it.)

Does this happen if you don't use Plolygamy? Do you have any plugins installed? Does MSN Messenger work if you End the Process for Plus! (MsgPlus.exe)

Also:

Are you using Smileycentral? (wild guess but i know that SC is supposed to work with both IM clients) if so try and uninstall that, it's known to cause problems with plus!.

Have u ever used both IM clients at the same time without problems?

How much RAM does your computer have?

Yes we ask lots of questions but the more we know the more likely we can pinpoint the problem.



Sidenote: I use MSN messenger 6.2.0137 and Yahoo 6 and have no problems using em at the same time at all (OS: Win XP pro, 480 MB RAM)

No, I am not using SmileyCentral.
I only use Plus and the patch Polygamy, that's all. I don't have any plugin installed.

Still a few unanswered questions:

I have removed the path Polygamy and now I use Jnrzloader (from www.mess.be) instead and all seems to be ok now.
The problem was certainly coming from the patch Polygamy which was incompatible with some stuff.

Which Plygamy patch were you using before?

I don't remember which Polygamy patch it was exactly, probably the one found on www.mess.be.
Anyway, now that I have removed the Polygamy patch, the problem came one more time whereas I use only Jnrzloader and Plus!
No, the problem never happened with Yahoo and Trillian for example.
In fact, MSN become all black before my computer restarting without any error messages.
This problem happened on 2 computers : one with 1024Mo Ram and W2000 and the other one with 128Mo Ram and W98.
