hi

i've downloaded msn 6.2.0137 and the latest Msg+ version from the site...

once i install the plugin I can't have a conversation with anyone.. when they send me messages i get an error telling that i can't start a conversation with "x" please try again later...

if i remove Msg+ all works fine.. can you please help me?

Hi Shuin,

You didn't happen to install the handwriting plug-in earlier, have you? This plug-in is known to cause problems like that when installed on Windows 98/ME or other versions that (sometimes) don't support it or when it has been installed incorrectly.

If you have, try to disable it from the Plugins section in the Preferences window by disabling it (removing the checkmark). Then reboot your computer and see if the problem is fixed.

If not, close down all Messenger related applications and remove the file MsnHandWriting.dll from your Messenger Plus!\Plugins directory, most likely the default C:\Program Files\Messenger Plus! 3\Plugins.

If you do not remember installing the handwriting plug-in, it might be wise to try the solution mentioned above as well, as it may still apply to you. If this does not solve the problem, please give more detailed information (version numbers, did it happen out of the blue)

msn 6.2 version : 6.2.0137
OS: Win XP
Hand writting Plugin : nope i just formatted my pc

It happened when I installled the plugin for the first time (a few mins ago)
The first time i got an error saying that a dll was missing but it never showed up anything like this since the first time i ran it ....
so i removed plus3 and msn messenger and reinstalled them... but nothing happened the same problem all over again i don't understand...
tried to reboot etc etc.. too....

Do you uninstall Plus! and choose to save all your preferences? If so, choose not to.

Also, can you delete the Messenger Plus! folder from Program Files after uninstalling before you reinstall?
