is there any way to check the location of the person you are talking to?

If you enter someone's IP at that site's IP checker, it will give the GENERAL location (generally only accurate to 200km or so

i mean if you don;t know their IP.  Say you are trying to find out my location just through talking through msn but i won't tell you. how do you go about it?

There is no way to do that, unless you know their last name, possibly their first name and the country and/or state/province they live in Any other means would be an invasion of privacy
