OK i've had it with my PC just stopping while i'm playing music or something and freezing or the internal speaker going off when it freezes

I have no idea why it does this, it does this when i leave the computer alone for too long or if i'm just playing music

I have no idea and its incredibly annoying, also upon computer start up there is a horribly loud grinding whirring noise from my tower.


Does anyone have any ideas as to how i could fix it, if there isn't then i will just have to *shudders* go to a PC shop to get it fixed

Sounds like your cpu is overheating. Check if the fan is spinning properly. It might need replacing.

ok, damn thing i cleaned it all the otehr month

and had a new fan put in

The whirring sound could also be a malfunctioning hard-disk or cd drive.

That used to happen to moi!  Is it an old pc?  Have you got much Ram?  Try scanning it for active trojans and things.  These slow down your pc a lot.  I recon though its because you have lots of bottle necks in your pc and it just slow du to know virtual memory.

my lappy will randomly make a loud nasty whirring/grinding noise.... but a lil bash the first few times it happened a few weeks ago, and it hasnt done it since

I've seen those little boxes, verry nice

My computer freezes to when playing music sometimes (even if its win media player open )
