O.P. How do I.......
When i used to open messenger there was only one spot to log in. Now when i open up my messenger it says my email address and and log in, so if someone was to open messenger up all they have to do is click on sign in and they are in on my name, however it doesn't log in though cause you need to enter a password. Now what I want to know is, is there a way that I can put my messenger back to the way it was where it didn't say my email address and log in and make it so there is just that little box where it just says sign in...... If this makes sense to anyone.....LOL.....please help me

Thanks
Christina Lynn

 RE: How do I.......
very simple (assuming you are using winXP):
go to my computer -> control panel
open "user accounts"
choose your account
choose "change my .NET passport"
set your passport as the email address you use to sign in with

Okay, well gnownoskcid's instructions were to add a different email, but you want to remove it. (assuming you're on windows XP aswell)
So go to start> Run> type in "control userpasswords2" (without quotes) go to the second tab at the top, "Advance" click the "manage passwords" button, and delete "Passport.net\*" by highlighting it (clicking it) and pressing "remove' Then, restart msn messenger, you might have the email still there biut it is unclickable, once you sign in then sign out it should be gone for good

But the next time you sign in, it'll reappear.

Search the forums a bit: someone posted the registry value to change to prevent Messenger from remembering your Passport completely.

Don't you mean the e-mailaddy will reappear when you type the first letter of the e-mailaddy, because that's all that'll happen. You will still have to type the password. The auto sign in button won't reappear until you tell MSN Messenger to remember you.

I think all Christina wanted was to remove that button. In that case Marissa posted the right answer.

I must say I have no experience with it myself, but Password Reminder might be what you want

 RE: How do I.......
Using Windows Messenger and MSN Messenger at the same time allows you to use two different accounts at the same time. However, you cannot save more than one account's password on your computer and simply click the one you wish to sign in with (without additional programs), as Kangie wanted.
