Well, I'm not rich, and I don't want some valuable camera that I have to worry about damaging or losing.

I have a Canon Powershot S400 (4.0 MP). It's a REALLY good camera. The pictures are crips, bright and sharp, it has a long battery life, and it just looks so damn cool

Canon's and Nikon's are the best (and always have been) IMHO.

Nikon and Konica-Minolta are the best .
