I think a while back when I had messenger plus I installed a plugin that automatically changes your dispaly pic when you sign in. I no longer have messenger plus but it still changes when I sign in. Anyone know what I can do to stop it from doing this?

The plugin shouldnt load if Messenger Plus is not there...Or is that a individual add-on for MSN Messenger?

Also, you can check whether the plugin is in the Messenger Plus folder. x:\Program Files\Messenger Plus! 3\Plugins (where X is your drive letter) If its there, delete it...

Go to the folder C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Application Data\Microsoft\MSN Messenger\number, with Username being your Windows username and number the number that symbolises your email address. Clicking Start > Run and typing %appdata%\Microsoft\MSN Messenger should show the folder that contains the numbered folders right away.

To find out what number matches your email address, download http://shoutbox.menthix.net/attachment.php?pid=291329 and enter your email address. Clicking Generate will show the number.

Go there and delete the folder called UserTile. Reboot and add your display pictures again; your problem should be fixed.
