... Is this no longer possible when using MSN Messenger 7?

Also, can someone please instruct me on how to use colors in my contact list? I'm imagining something like this:

[Contact's custom name] (in bold) - [Contact's 'real' name] (less visible)

So if my contact's name is James and he's name himself JameZ 0wnz Ya, he would appear like this:

James - JameZ 0wnz Ya

How is this done? I know I'm supposed to use (!N) somehow, but I can't figure out how to make it work.

It is still possible, but the menu entry (right click in contact list) hasn't made it into the current beta version yet. You can still use /blockgrp commands however.

Right click a contact in your contact list (or go to the Preferences panel) and change the name to
<ctrl+b>James<ctrl+b><space>-<space>(!N)
simply put: <ctrl+b>James<ctrl+b> - (!N)

Colouring his screen name custom as well would require using <ctrl-k> codes around the (!N) tag
