I don't see why you wouldn't have enough ram, its not a resource wasting browser at all, its just greatly improved and takes about 5 seconds to start up and then you can browse fast, it blocks popups, easy tabbed browser, nice User interface, a lot of plugins and stuff... and a lot of websites now are being made to look their best in Mozilla.

yes, it is much better, it is a lot more secure than IE, has a lot more features and there is a large community that is constantly developing bug fixes and new plugins for it

Mozilla Firefox 1.0 was out for 2 weeks and made the news because millions of people downloaded it, quite an achievement for a browser that hasn't been going for very long...
