Using MSN Messenger for Windows 6.2

I would like to create a log that shows the online/offline status of the individuals in a group of contacts. For example, if one of them was "joe", the log would say that "joe" was online from 10am to 2pm, then offline for an hour, then back on-line from "2pm to 8pm" etc.

Ideally it would be presented in an easy to read format instead of raw log data.

Can Messgenger, Messenger Plus or a 3rd party product do this?

You can already do this.....sort of.

If you right click a contact, go to "Messenger Plus! extras" and hit "Contact Information..." you can see that he or she has been in whatever status and/or signed in and out x many times since you logged in.

Thanks Blade.  I installed MessengerPlus, and tried the suggestion. I don't see much information by right clicking.

Just stuff like:

- contact may or may not have Messenger Plus installed
- Last seen: online (Currently online)

I'm sure you can see from my question that I'm looking for an actual log, not this "may or may not" stuff.  Something that would log the times that someone was online/offline over a period of time.

The MessengerPlus web page describes the logging features "and let's not forget the fact that you can log every event!"

Is a contact coming on-line and off-line an "event"? Can it be logged?

Is there some kind of .HLP file that descrbies the logging feature of MessengerPLus?

That feature only logs what has happened since you last logged in. I don't know of any plug-ins that keep an actual log, but your plus! chat logs do display times and dates.

you can use the event log window, and sort out the information from that, and the event log can be set to log to a file if you desire..
