O.P. video question
is there  a program or a way i can take the sound out of a video saved on my computer?

there is no need for a program you can do it in windows gimme a sec ill find out how

EDIT: double click on the volume icon in the bottom right, when in volume control go to options>properties and clcik on recording and select ok, check the box stereo mix to indicate you want to record from the speakers

Then go start>all programs>accesories>entertainment>sound recorder.

when the sound in the movie you want to record comes up hit record in sound recorder.and stop when its finished and voila

but what if its long like 45 minutes and that works but it also records from my mic too if someone speaks loud enough

That method is pretty crappy, IMHO ;)

Use something like VirtualDub to open the video file and extract the audio to a wav file (File > Save wav).

You can find more information using Google. :)
