I cant sign into my msn messenger, I've reinstalled it several times but still no luck. Ive been told it could be a bropia worm or sumthing so ive tried a few different virus scanners but they didnt find anything. can anyone help plz.....thanks

eh you cannot sign in msn messenger? have you tried signing in hotmail via your browser? does that work?

if not, surely your password might be wrong,

if yes, then maybe you have a firewall blocking the connection?

Do you have any error messages when you try to sign into messenger?
Also are you using a firewall. If so make sure that the correct ports are open.

I cannot sign into hotmail, but i know password is correct because i can sign into e-messenger. Also when i run connectivity test on messenger it says i may not be connected to the internet but i know i am.

If msn say that tcp/ip does'nt work whereas you haven't firewall, look at C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts. I've seen this a few days ago, a virus can modify it and add 127.0.0.1 messenger.hotmail.com by exemple .

there doesnt seem to be anything unusual there

hmm this is really odd because the same has happened today, so maybe it is a problem with msn?

yea, so i told him to ask on here because i find it really usefull and someone on here might know whats wrong with his msn

Now it's even happening to me
