when i scroll through my contact list in msn 7 beta 0732, its extremely laggy. could this be because of the default skin?

is there anyway to make it scroll faster? i already disabled dp's for the contact list and all emoticons all together as of right now.

any help is appreciated.

P3 1ghz, 768 pc133 ram, winxp sp2 with classic theme (no skins)

Are you using contact list transparency? Try turning that off. Also, try turning contact list formatting off aswell.

im having the same problem...it doesnt lag a LOT but it does lag

would it be because its a BETA?

no transparency, and i have my contact list as online/offline if thats what you mean.

maybe it is just because its beta right now -_-;;

I don't think they'll fix this, Messenger 7 is "heavier" than previous versions, just like Messenger 6 is "heavier" than previous versions...
A real pity

msnmsgr.exe is taking 32 MB of virtual memory here...

I was afraid so... I'm definitely gonna stick around with 6 then since the 'lag' is unbearable...

sn messenger 7.0.0732 is a leaked version, it should be ONLY be used by beta testers Utilisation by someone who's not a beta tester is illegal..

Are all of you using Plus! Custom Name feature? If so are you using it with or without the Formatting Tag option enabled?

Maybe it would help dividing contacts into groups and minimising all the groups. Then you only open a group when you want to check who's on... that's what i do at least.

The contact list has been laggy ever since the upgrade to 7.0 for me, but it's not that bad...
