ive been wondering if you can make a wink yourself

I doubt that you could wink yourself as it would cause some inteference, as you send the wink, you see the wink and you would also receive the wink, it would be pretty dodgy and would probably mess around with some things...

Or just be restricted of course like most features like this are.

i think what he means is to make your own wink

Its impossible for 3rd party's (except to selected ones like B.M.) to make custom winks, DDP's ect.
You will have to stamp it with a digital signature, and patch the messenger client so it removes the security, which will be the stupid thing ever, because then we can make flash files that can control your computer, so leave the custom things to the selected and trusted 3rd partys selected by Microsoft
