O.P. Taskbar settings
Hey in Win XP you can have the option to hide/show certain icons in the bottom right hand corner. Anyone know how i can delete some certain ones that i don't want?

Clicking Hide will not do... is they're anyway i can delete them?

I have stupid ones like Download manager and other junk i'd like to get rid of

Thanks

RE: Taskbar settings
They're in your startup...

Press windows key + r, then type in msconfig, go to the "startup" tab. then uncheck the certain ones that you don't want to start...

RE: Taskbar settings
Do you mean the items in this window?

If so then do the following

To clear the notification history delete the values called "IconStreams" and "PastIconsStream".

Open Task Manager, click the Processes tab, click Explorer.exe, and then click End Process.

In Task Manager, click File, click New Task, type explorer, and then click OK.

Registry Settings
User Key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\TrayNotify
Value Name: IconStreams, PastIconsStream
Data Type: REG_BINARY (Binary Value)

If you uncheck the items then they will not loadup when you start up your computer.

Right click on IconStreams then hit delete and do the same for PastIconsStream.
