Well I have noticed that when msn messenger 7 has been running awhile messenger plus! doesn't stay on or hooked the following things happens:

The messenger plus! icon disaperes from the contact list but the plus! menu is still there.

My plugin(s) get unloaded (stuff plug ng) thats all the plugins I have.

My custom names change back to the email address

I have tryed:

Removing msn messenger stuffplug messenger plus! then reinstalled again

You can try Alternate mode:

- Plus > preferences > miscellaneous..under Messenger Plus! Automatic Recovery Options, set it to "Alternate".
- Reboot
- Start MSNM and check if it's still in alternate mode
- Ctrl alt del to go to taskmanager and in processeslist end msgplus.exe
- Now restart MSNM and see if Plus! appears in the menu, if so "alternate mode" is working fine.
- After checking you can remove Plus! from startuplist by going to: start > run ..type: msconfig <enter>, go to startuplist and uncheck MsgPlus (this step isn't really needed, if need be Plus! will switch to "Allternate" by itself, just check if it's still set to "Alternate" every now and then).

sorry for bringing this thread back again but....

Its happening again and its still in alternate mode

any idea's what it could be?

edit: it seems when you restart msn it goes back but after while does it again.

also i reformatted a couple of days ago there must be something on my computer conflicting.

Have you updated to the latest MSNM yet (v.7.0.0813)? I doubt thats whats causing it though. It could be you are running a program that conflicts with with Plus! causing it to crash (some program that closes down "unnecesary" processes maybe). Have you removed Plus! from startup list?

yeh I have the latest version of msn messenger 7. Its not on the startup list

You could try "forced" mode and see if that helps.

If not then it's probably some software conflict. Write down wich programs you are using when Plus! unhooks and see if you can find out wich one it is. Then post that inhere, maybe Patchou can look into it.
