Not sure if n e one can help me but i was an existing msg plus user and downloaded the new messenger and for a while they weren't compatible. I've recently downloaded Plus! again but it still has existing info like my administrator password stored so i cant get into the preferences menu because i can't remember it. Does anyone know a way of getting around this? PLEASE HELP!

The most simple solution to this is to uninstall Messenger Plus! while making sure you choose not to keep your current settings. After that you can install again and the default settings (so no password) will apply.

If you are comfortable with editing the registry, you can also check out CookieRevised's reply to Preferences Password. However, this way of resetting the password is not recommended if you are not an experienced computer user. In that case simply uninstall and reinstall as mentioned above

It has a command that will reset your preferences password.
