Hi,

I'm just wondering if there is a way to allow the auto-message keep responding with more different messages. Currently mine will say 10 different messages, then stop responding and loop again. Even though i have typed in more things to be said...

Is there any way around this?

such as a plug-in or something?

Or am i just doing it incorrectly?

No, not possible, it is a fixed limit inside Messenger Plus!. Maybe one day Patchou will increase it a bit though.

As for a plugin, this would also be "a bit" impossible, because the plugin API isn't designed to respond to received text. There are ways around it though, it isn't completely impossible, but it requires a more advanced plugin then the usual normal plugins you'll see...

An example of how you can do this can be found here: "Bot Developers Kit v1.00 beta 1 available!"
This plugin is kind of a "proxy" between MSN Messenger and Messenger Plus!/you, so it isn't a real standard plugin, although it gets loaded as a plugin...

Other possebilities are addons. In other words: not-Plus!-plugins, but MSN Messenger addons, which take over the sending and receiving just like Messenger Plus! does.

(For example, the first time, it'd say "Not here", the second "Really, not here", and so on...)

set a automessage on multiple lines like so

When typing you use the # symbol before a new message.

eg.

first message
#second message
#third message

I see, thanks for the response.

Would love patchou to increase it to more like 20, not looking for anything ridiculously long, but would love to be able to leave more messages.

If you could explain how to use any other program to do this that would be great too!

Come on ppl, it would be good for your friends to be able to talk to you without you being there, cuz that's what it's like, or so i allways get told with my array of auto-messages!

Since auto-response messages support commands, you can simply use /persostat x as the last message of your preset status. That way you can have a chain of almost 200 responses...
I'll let someone else explain.

Meanwhile, I can't seem to run any quicktext commands through the preset auto-response messages. Can someone try it for me?
