i juz started playing around with MsgPlus + StuffPlug-NG and slowly realise that most (or all) of the things require the other party to have MsgPlus+plugins installed as well? am i right or there's some that works without everyone having to install MsgPlus?

colornick v2 doesnt work (on the other party without MsgPlus)
text color doesnt work
personalised status i suspect didnt work (i cld be wrong)
sound didnt work

could be all not wokring, i'm still experimenting.

sounds only work for people who have plus! installed

oh i see.. so most of it other parties need to have msgplus! too..

it looks ok on my msn chat but other party see jumbled of text instead.
i guess needs to have msgplus.

that's the problem, on the plugin download page, there's no description to say whether both parties need to hav msgplus or not in order to work.

it's a problem coz not all 50 contacts on my list has msgplus..and i cant keep track who has or who hasn't.

Yes, the other person needs to have msgplus! to see the colour or they will see a bunch of squares

Thats because some of plus's! features work if the other contact doesn't have plus! and some don't

You could always find out by typing the command

/ping

in the conversation windows to your contacts

If they have plus! it will reply with

Pong!

If they don't have plus! you won't get a reply

Also if they've told Plus not to respond to Pings.

As for those without Plus: if they moan about jumbled characters, then let them: they're missing out by not installing Plus
