Hi @ aLL..
I am using Msn Messenger 7.0 I have Windows XP with a broadband connection and a firewall.
I can't send out any messages..It wouldn't go.
Please heLp me..

Check to see if your firewall is blocking msn messenger from letting people contacting you

I don't know how to do it...
It didn't happen before... for months..Sometimes It does send but only for a minute or so.then It turns back on.I tried signing in and out.It didn't work, then I installed Msn Messenger 7.0 then it was ok.but then it started again.It's strange.

Ok, first of all when you open a conversation window with a contact and try and send a message what exactly is the problem? Can't you type in the box because it's greyed out, do you click send and nothing happens, do you get an error message if so please state it exactly.


Have you allowed MSN Messenger full accsess to the internet in your firewall?

Did this problem start after anything you installed?

Also have you tried this;
Start > Control Panel > Add\Remove Programs > MSN Messenger > Change\Remove > Uninstall > Follow uninstaller > Reboot your computer (do not skip this step) > Download and install MSN Messenger again.

You could also try (if that doesn't work);
Start > Help & Support > Undo Changes to your computer using system restore > Restore my computer to an earlier time > and pick a date before the problem started, and only before the problem started, pick a restore point and continue from there.
Please note: this second option will undo setting changes you have made to your computer since the date you pick. But your personal documents and files will remain safe.

are you using stuffplug ng?

if so, this could be a conflict between the boost maximum message length of stuffplug ng and plus..

i recommend you disable the plus one
Contact List -> Plus -> Preferences
& then on the options
Instant Message tab

then untick the box saying 'boost maximum message length to.....'

hopefully this should work

I've already disabled the pLugins, and I unticked that box but there's still probLem...


The problem is when i type a message it says :
The following message could not be delivered to all recipients:

and It didn't start after I installed something..

this is normally caused by stuffplug and plus conflicting..


tbh i dont know the cause if all the plugins are disabled

signout/sign in? does it re-occur?

First off, don't post more than once in a row, instead edit your previous posts, makes for an easier read.

What firewall do you use? Can you go into it's settings? If so look for something called an "Applications List" "Allowed Programs" "Allowance List", or words to that effect, and is MSN Messenger listed there? Has it got full accsess?

have u recently un/installed msg discovery X, cos this happened to me aswell ( see the "This is stupid  i cant talk to anyone" thread)
I fixed mine by playing with my connection settig in tools>>Options.

make sure you dont have the handwriting plugin installed, go to add/remove programs and uninstall Ink, it used to do this to people alot, not sure if it still does but its worth a try
