O.P. SP2 Install Problem
Ok so i re-installed my computer a couple days ago, and i needed to re-install sp2 on it, but it didnt work

Halfway through extracting in froze, started making funny noises and making internal beeps, then it shuts down like nothing ever happpened

Should I SlipStream?

Or would that not work?

RE: SP2 Install Problem
Have you tried it again, or you only tried it once?
Maybe the problem is on your connection.

The workaround is, althought this might sound stupid, to order Windows XP Service Pack 2 on CD

O.P. RE: SP2 Install Problem
I tried it many times, and each time i need to re-install my pc to actually have my computer work.

I connect to the Internet via Wireless

I already have a Service Pack 2 CD, and that screws up.

HELP?!

RE: SP2 Install Problem
It seems like a problem with the installation of files after being downloaded.

Did it install correctly before?

Yeah but that was ages ago, now I tried to install MSN Messenger, but it still comes up with internal beeps and freezes... so I dont think its Service Pack 2

Its probably a fault inside the pc... i might go and get it repaired, or something. Btw, its a laptop, IF it helps... dont think so though

Im SCREWED
