Hi, I'm new to this forum.
I know of someone who has a feature that allows him to detect people whenever they click on his name even though they aren't messaging him (nor typing).  Since he's so anal about not sharing where he got this from, I'm hoping someone here knows what I'm talking about and can share the source of where they got this feature from.

afaik this is not possible because nothing is sent to the msn servers when somebody clicks on your name

stuff plug had thi, your friend may be using an old version of this with msn 6.2 or lower with stuffplug, but with new versions this isnt possible

Yes, he said it no longer is working for him... said once he updated to MSN 7.0 it no longer worked for him.  Does anyone know what it was called and whether or not an updated version will be released?

There will be no newer versions of this, and it will never be released again. The reason for this is because it detected a connection between you and another person, for instance, when they opened a conversation with you, but there was a problem, when you downloaded somebodies display picture, a connection was also recognised, therefore, it said that they had opened a conversation with you, even if they hadn't.

With the new and "improved" MSN Messenger servers, there are constantly connections opening now, which would mean the Open Window Notifier would be obsolete.

It's called Stuff Plug this is no longer supported in Stuff Plug anymore though

If you search the forum and search for 'open convo notifier' you will find lots of threads about it
