I installed TheBlashphemers patch to allow Messenger to display a winamp song as a contact name and have tried everything to get it to work.

I use windows 2000, windows media player 9, msn messenger 7.0.813.

Oh and the latest version of winamp.

The plugin does install as its displayed in the winamp plugins menu

And I have the option active to display the song.

NEW NOTE :  It also doesn't work with windows media player now

Any sugguestions, reboots have been tried, upgrading every to its latest version patches has been done . 

It's doing my head in cream:

Uninstall TB's plugin and reinstall. The plugin is also included in Mess Patch for MSNM 7.0.0813, inthere there's also an easy way to uninstall it

P.S. you can't set it as a contactname, you can only display it in personal message.

WMP: check if the plugin is still enabled in WMP. Open WMP, click the arows on top left to make the menu show, then to tools > plugins..see if MSN Messenger Music Plugin is still checked.
