I'm logged into MSN, but when I go into my msgPlus preferences things like custom names and sounds can't be changed and there is a notification saying "please sign in." None of my event sounds are playing. Any ideas? If I have to re-install msgPlus, after I've uninstalled and installed again will all my settings still be there?

Yeah this occurs sometimes.. I've seen it before..

Press CTRL+ALT+DEL and go to the Task Manager...

Terminate Msgplus.exe and Msnmsgs.exe and restart them
(Restart Msgplus.exe FIRST)....

If this doesn't work and you want to try reinstalling, you can export your settings via the Plus! Settings (but as far as I know no settings are deleted.. don't know for sure)
