That is not unicode at all, nor has it anything to do with it...

Unicode is an extended set of characters. Instead of 255 possible characters, you can have 65535 possible characters. MSN Messenger (as well as Messenger Plus!) is full Unicode compatible. Unicode has got nothing to do with the color codes of Messenger Plus!.

What you see are colorcodes, nothing more. These codes are made by Messenger Plus! itself and only used by Messenger Plus!. They aren't a standard of any type. Patchou (the creator of Messenger Plus!) could well've choosen different codes for all he cares....

Thus only Messenger Plus! can interpret these colorcodes. So unless your contact also has Messenger Plus!, he will see the raw colorcodes...

eg: ·$#BF40A0i

·$ = color starting code, which indicates a color will follow
# = indicator that a RGB color will follow
BF40A0 = the actuall RGB colorcode
BF = Red component of the color
40 = Green component of the color
A0 = Blue component of the color
i = the ascii character which is to be colored...

You could just recommend Plus! to your contacts if they complain about your name etc

What do you mean "common forms"?

The tool you used (colornick) is just a tool which does some stuff with the colors, nothing more. It is a very big misunderstanding that people think you need the tool to have colors. This is totaly wrong. ColorNick is simply a nice and easy way to color up your nickname with fancy colors. Everything that ColorNick does can be done without it also...

Thus, you don't need the tool at all for this in fact... What you have posted in your first screenshot is what your contacts without Messenger Plus! will see. It is not what you need to type in to get the colors!!!

See the official help pages of Messenger Plus! on how to use colors:

i know how to use it...

now color nicknames could be easily created. but could not be easily identified.

if it has both. it's valuable i think. this could be 'common forms''s meaning.

i'm very sorry for my poor english. :(
