I'm having the weirdest problem ever... certain pages simply don't want to open... I use Firefox (same problem with IE) and when i try to open some pages it starts to load... but never finds it and gives me the error saying:

The operation  timed out when attempting to contact [webpage]

Now i asked some friends to check out these pages and they work fine for them... why!?

That doesn't work for me but works for other people. And this is only and example... The same thing happened yesterday with this forum and other sites...

I opened my hosts file and took out EVERYTHING (kept a copy) but same thing. I also opened SpywareBlaster and stopped all protection but still nothing (i had a similar probably with an ad page that was solved by doing the above two things....  but not this time)

This is very urgent... any ideas?

are you using a very slow proxy?

not sure what a proxy is but its a similar problem. i think it was a problem on my ISP's side... i usually connect at 1.1 meg/s and lately it's been slower... i was kicked offline and when i got on it was 1.1 and they worked fine... hopefully it'll stay like this

Definately sounds like an ISP problem. Phone them up and tell them to get their act together

i had the same problem for about a week two weeks ago. I couldnt get into MsgPlus.net or Msghelp.net. Its working fine now tho

But their customer service sucks calling them won't do anything...

Firefox is set to make i direct internet connection. I must also say that just like Maniac, i could access the sites i mentioned through FF or IE
