O.P.  Different display pics for different contacts
Is it possible to make a plugin to use different display pics for different contacts..
I think many people would love such a plugin as you choose which contact sees what.
That would be so great to have a plugin like that

Nothing is "impossible", well... not everything then..
Maybe it IS possible, but not with the default MSN protocol.
I guess it's possible to make some plugin for this, but both contacts must have it..
So it's kinda lame to ask "install this plugin because i want to have a different DP / Status / Nickname for you"

yea but im very sure everyone would install this plugin, its like handwriting etc.. im pretty sure everyone would wana do it cos they would also want different DPs
so is anyone working on this plugin? it would really be appreciated

It would be plain dumb, install this because I want to give you a special DP. I doubt anyone would install it, and plus, if they wouldn't want to install it, It would be impossible due to protocol (ref: http://shoutbox.menthix.net/showthread.php?tid=39350) |

y wouldn't anyone want to install it? if u made a plugin wouldn't everyone just download it? i asked a few ppl and they said they would if it allows them to do that, and their friends would so everyone would end up having it, sorta like handwriting when it came out.. everyone installed it so they can handwrite

This is a suggestion that you should tell the MSN Messenger team, they have the "power" to do this in a global way, no plugins involved.

i was thinking if you could assign different dps to different contacts locally, because i don't like chatting with people who have crappy dps or don't have one at all
