well theres nothing wrong with it exactly its just people like to try something different and also be safe in the knowledge that there is basically no spyware or viruses written to work in linux so they are safe too

Linux distros usually come with a couple gb of software preinstalled and compiled to run on them, and if you wnat to run windows programs you can just get Wine
