When I right click on the custom emo 's, the "Add..." menu item cannot be seen.
This problem came up after I installed Messenger Plus! I'm using messenger 7.0 (build 7.0.0813).
do you have a patched/skinned msn?
there is a knownbug with the patching method.
Disabling the MSN Music links take down the right-click-and-Add menu with it.
Hi all! I'm new here and I joined because I'm having exactly the same problem! The only option I have is copy when I right click. All of the people I chat with have fun pics and emoticons except me! Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated it.
Sorry, but I am sooooo confused...lol. What patch thing are you talking about? I have the latest MSN (7.0, because I don't know enough to try 7.5 beta) and just downloaded the Messenger Plus today. Everyone I chat with is using the add feature and some of them know less about computers than I do, but it seems to work for them. It's getting pretty frustrating. Should I delete all MSN from my computer and try downloading it all from scratch to see if that works (REALLY hate that option...lol) or the lesser of the 2 evils - click some magic button to sort this out. Thanks for being so calm with the newbie!
Maybe you could use as an alternative form Sutffplug's integrated CEDP stealer. In a conversation window type /XCEDPSTEALER to bring the most recent Display Pictures and Custom Emoticons, this way you can save it each one in a file and add it manually. But if you insist in the normal way, try uninstalling every MSN Program (MSN Messenger, Messenger Plus...) and reinstalling again.
unfortunately your suggestion (uninstall) doesn't work. I even tried with the command /XCEDPSTEALER but it doesn't work too. It gives me an error message (unknown command or error occurred).
Go and change your country to UK or US in .NET passport settings, then the 'add' option will come back
Edit: but if you are using mobil massaging, you maybe don't want to do this, 'cause in msn 7.5 you will loose the option to use free messaging when your country is US or UK
