well here's the thing, I have had my laptop for about 2 yrs now, last time I reformated ( like 2 days ago ) I am not able to use the double touch on the synapsis screen to open up a file.. I know it has something to do with the settings, but i just can't seem to get a hang on it.. any help would be really appreciated..

Have you enabled tapping?

This can be done by going

Start ==>Control Panel==> Mouse ==>device settings (you should see synapsis here. Choose it if not selected) ==> Settings

From here choose the section that says tapping and check to see if Enable tapping is selected.

Thats the only thing I can think of at the moment. Hope it helps

try to reinstall its driver!! it happens with me always, but  i solve it by reinstalling the driver
