Is it possible to send longer sounds, kinda one complete song instead of only 5 seconds?

no you can't beacuse it would overload the servers and people would be able to send full songs illegally
(like they can't send by file transfer)

If I remember well, longer sounds were declined because of the server's sizes.

Server size, Bandwidth, and Copyright issues to name a few, But the long and short of the answer is no. Sorry.

The sounds can go up to 10 seconds anyway? Are you sure that you aren't talking about the sound feature that is with MSN Messenger 7.5?

The current maximum length is suitable for general use.. if the sounds were too long, then it would annoy your contacts more than it would please them. That being said, as wj already specified, copyright and server issues are also a good reason for not increasing the length of the sounds, sorry.

If you save your sounds in Average Quality, the maximium allowed length is 10 seconds.
