Hello,


Boss protection permit to hide windows of MSN Messenger and reduce it in systray with a fake icon of my choice...

But how can I hide that I use MSN Messenger, if a BallonTip appears when I move my mouse over this fake icon, saying "MSN Messenger - Off Line" !

I try to disable BallonTip in regedit but it goes on !

Moreover, I want to keep ballontip for other application as Clock or my firewall messages in systray...

So, is this Boss Protection feature is well mind by Patchou ? Or am I miss informed ?

Erm i'm not sure about the features but there is a plugin called advanced boss protection i'll find out more about it for you

I understand then when you are Boss Protection Mode you want to hide the MSN Messenger - Signed In status when you hover your mouse over the icon. 

As far as i am aware this is not possible, however if you replace the icon in Plus > Preferences > Boss Protection, say for example a volume or a Virus scanner, the chances of the person hovering over MSN would be smaller.

Smaller but real... I often have to let my computer taken 2 or 3 mn by a collegue...

I was talking about basic Boss Protection of MSG+.

Well, you talk about Ultimate Msg Lock, so I just tested it. It's exactly what I need. No trace of using MSN Messenger !

Question : how to be sure there is no spyware or other threat in plugin like this ?

I'm very confident with MSG+, but what about 360Software... I don't know them.

Well, Ultimate is bugged. Some times it hide MSNMesenger without any systray icon, that is very cool, but somteimes it hide and the systray icon stay visible with the real guenuine MSN Messenger Icon. Terrific !

Sometimes it change my status with random values...

Bad thing for this essential feature. Imagine I can't hide secured, it is not so good for a boss protection...

So I come back to standard feature of MSG+ with problem of BalloonTip !
