[font=Courier][size=2][color=purple] can anyone help me; the pictures in contacts names aren't showing instead its coming up with the characters&symbols for them instead, i have msgplus installed with the colours on my contacts  that i have chose showing. nThanks in advance

I cant see emo's in my contacts name. Ah, w/e, its better 4 me this way...
And turning off the forum attributes option doesnt works...

"showing" are you use the display on desktop funtion?

Try going to:

In MSN > Tools > Options > Messages > ShowEmoticons

Are you using any plugins or additional MSN software?

If you uninstall plus! does it show, this would determine if its plus! or msn/your comp?

yeah works without plus, was just trying to get it to work with plus, works if i disable the colours options, but wanted both

are you using win98?

Are you using Custom Names?

EDIT: You do have Custom Names, you said you colored your names, custom names doesn't work with emoticons.

Or you enable the emoticons, or you enable the custom (colored) names, not both.

Since you are using the Custom Name feature it is a limitation with Plus! where it cannot show the emoticons in their name as the custom name feature uses Display By Email.
