Hi!

I've set the appropriate registry setting for the special tweak DelayedSignin, but I think it's not working yet for the new MSN 7.5, because I can't get it to work? Also... there are 2 places where you can set MSN 7.5 if you want to auto-signin (in the settings window and in the login window)... I've unchecked both... so there is no auto-signin... and I'm pretty sure the registry tweak is right.. but I can't get it to work!

Also, I think there is an error on http://www.msgplus.net/help_registry.php. Because if you scroll to the DelayedSignin tweak, it says it should be in  HKCU\Software\Patchou\MsgPlus2, where all the others should be in  HKCU\Software\Patchou\MsgPlus2\your@email.com\Preferences. So that also might be the problem... (i've put the registry entry in both places, btw, but it won't work).

So, I'm using Win XP SP2, Msgplus 3.54 (latest version), MSN 7.5 (latest official version), language = Dutch (NL).

Who can help me!?

You do know the delay is 48 seconds yes? Everything else is OK.

Mind you, you are using Messenger 7.5. The DelayedSignin doesn't work with it, as you can control it properly from Messenger itself now.

Could you tell me please where I can set this? Because I cannot find it anywhere. I need about a 30 second delay before I signin... (48.. 30.. everything is okay! )

Like I said, I don't think there's a way to use DelayedSignin with Messenger 7.5.
However, if you want to set the value to 30 seconds, set DelayedSignin to '1e'.
30 in hex is 48 in decimal
1e in hex is 30 in decimal

Oh.. okay!!! I thought you said there was a way to set it in 7.5...

Thank you very much for your help! I hope the next MsgPlus will get this right... because, especially with wireless networks, sometimes it takes a little while before you're fully connected... and even though I never had problems with 7.0, it seems 7.5 is a little bit more... peculiar... and if I just wait 30 (or 48 ) seconds before I press connect... then there's no problem.

Delayed signin seems to work properly for me with MSN Messenger 7.5, maybe I fixed somethign in it for version 3.60 that I don't remember.. I encourage you to try it again when the new version is released and post again if you still have problems . The only thing you need to ensure is that your account and your password are properly saved by Messenger to allow auto-signin to work.
