Heloo!!!

I'm just making some testings and getting more info about  Making a forum.

And i used the MyBB one, same as this site, and it's working very good, so i tried to update the reputation system to the version 2 , which is a ,mod , just like the one you have on MSGHELP.

and i made all the setting and changes as the same as in the readme files, and it working perfectly, except that :

1- when i click add reputation ( Rank member, rate member etc..) and get that pop up box, asking me to choose whether postive or natural or neg. and for the comment, and after clicking on add, (submit) the page turn, but go back the same as it was opend, and nothing is added to the comment list. i'm really confused why.

2- it's happening, that even when i change the post count of an admin, or a user( to 1000 post ), it sometimes tells me, you can't add reputation. i dont know why, i mean it dependes on the users, like i can't add to this, and i can to another, but also we go back to same error mentioned in Error "1" .


so please if anyone has anyidea pls reply , i need to finish the research.

the reputation system on this forum and the mod you found are not the same. the one on this forum is coded by WDZ and the mybb mod is written by smethead.
they are probably not based on the same code.
you could try visiting the mybb mods community forums, the mybb community forums, or contact smethead personally (the author)

ok hey, u know, they look excatly the same ,  u know with little changes!

i wish WDZ can reply also cause he may have a little knowledge about that, cause i already did with smethead yesterday , but till now , i got no reply.

i will also try with mods forums,. coz i tried with the community forums but no answer!.

We are 2 working on this project, and we both couldn't find that error .

edit: about the can't add reputation, i tried with a user which is an admin that has 2 real posts, and 100 i have added, but still tellin me that

i'm using the latest version on MyBB .

im using a free hosting that support one sql database! i guess the reputation use same data base , sure right??

the new database tables in gold are the problem as well as some php you have to wait for the new version compatible with gold

when that would be released

edit: also , in the mod help file, they mentioned that you can change the setting if the reputation system form the Admin CP > change settings, but i can't find anything there related to Reputation

Yes, indeed, there are some difficulties with that. I hope I can get it fixed in Gold. I'll use the plugin system for that.

This forum is not the place to look for answers on problems or mods about a forumboard system.

There is a dedicated forum for problems like that...

It is of no use to report MyBB problems on this forum and expect it to be fixed in later builds. The people of MyBB do not roam other forums in search for possible errors of their software (eventhough some of those people are also member here).

If you want decent help, or want to report problems or what not, go to their dedicated support-forums.
