well, cause i need the JDK(Java Development Kit) for my school assignment i wanted to install it. Downloaded the latest(JAVA2 1.5 update 5) version from the sun website. and install it... and during the last stage of teh install i get this error:


and after pressing OK this one:


ive deinstalled it, cleaned my registery and still get the same error.. the same thing occours when i try to install the Java Runtime Libraries...

ive tried it like 5 times now.. and i'm desperate... plz help guys

maybe you could try deleting the old directory (according to the dialog there is one) and install it again.
other option would be windows safe mode.

have you tried downloading it again (after cleaning cache)?

already done.... but a friend of mine has some tips i'm doing that right now (installing it in a directory without a space in it)

w00t.. it worked.... damn installler.... .. why installs it it to program files.. and tehn it cant run anything from it
