Tried the 3.60 version from both mess.be and neowin, but in both, whenever I have a tabbed conversations, Msn totally disappears and isn't running any more.


OS: XP Pro
MSN version: latest official, sorry I can't remember name.
Plus! version: tried the mess.be special and the one on neowin (both 3.60.something)

Sorry if this has been posted before, I had a quick scout around, but couldn't find any.

Are you using anything like that? Windowblinds?

I use windowblinds, but have disabled it for MSN messenger (set it to ignore it, or whatever you call it), I don't use the plugin mentioned.



EDIT: Aha....it seems to be working now...I disabled some plugins (the ones I didn't use -  dunno which one made it change)

stuffplug (doesn't work too well for me with 7.5)

I see you have Stuffplug NG, did you get the beta for MSNM 7.5?
There is one on http://www.stuffplug.com that's 95% compatible with MSNM 7.5 (only thing known not working correctly is the ignore feature)

Disabling plugins incase of troubles is indeed a good idea, it helps find the culprit Well done To find out wich one exactly you can enable em one by one to see wich one it is.

I would be really interested to know which plugin exactly caused the problem.. if you could check that out, I would really appreciate it (as you're not the oinly one who reports this problem).

My msn doesn't crash, but sometimes when I click a conversation button in the tab, the window goes down in the right corner of the screen, and I can't resize it. I am not using WindowBlinds.
I'm using MSNM 7.5.0299 (ITA), StuffPlug (Beta), Colornick V2, Window Management Plugin and Hopper.

You can try and find out what causes it by disabling all plugins and then enable em one by one. Test after enabling every plugin.

My first guess would be Window Management Plugin

it seems to be color nick I had this same problem till I disabled color nick

It's not Colornick for me, just enabled it and it still works fine... just testing some more...


Aha. File Transfer Plus did it for me. I don't have the latest version of it though, so that could be why. Hope I helped.
