When I join messenger, sometimes my contacts are online, but have status offline, but they can speak to me while their status is offline

some are online, some offline (normally status online), but they can all speak to me, strange

My guess is that MSN servers are having glitches again.

Something they could be using is Stuffplug NG wich has the feature "talk to blocked contacts". This means nothing else than that they blocked you (so you see them offline) but can still message you.

But as you say normally those contacts are online so lets keep it at serverglitches

It's definately serverproblems, i just got signed out of MSN and it won't sign in again. Lets hope this means they are working on it.
