I read this on a website:

Within the Plus! menu, go to Preferences and select Predefined under Personalised Status. A name tag suffix can be specified optionally for each custom predefined status. However, only Messenger Plus! users will see the custom name tag suffix without the status suffix. Other users will see both the custom name tag suffix and the status suffix.

For example: Plus! users will see:

NickName (Gone to School)

while other users will see:

NickName {Gone to School} (Away)

how come it doesnt work for me?

It should, cuz b4 (i dunno if it's been fixed or not) if u just exited, with out signing-out, yur name could stay changed to "NickName {Gone to School}" Happened to me a couple time back b4 Plus! 3

Doesn't work how? Can you be more specific in what is not working according to you?
(also state your complete msn messenger version and complete Plus! version number)
