when i go into msn - tools - options
it opens th eifrst page fine
but when i click say privacy - it wont change
or messages
but tabs will bring up the stuffplug tabs option - no problem
but all other options in the menu will not change so i camt dleete or block a deleted conntact or change msn settings

Reinstall MSN Messenger:

Run the installer again and choose "repair".

If that doesn't work do a fresh install of MSNM:
1. uninstall
2. reboot
3. remove C:\Program Files\MSN Messenger and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Microsoft\MSN Messenger
( this last folder holds all previous settings, emoticons, backgrounds, winks..you can try a reinstall without deleting that one first if you don't want to loose those)
4. reinstall MSN Messenger

to erpair - i just re download the .exe file of msn messenger 7.5 and run that?

Yes, run the installer. It will give you the option to uninstall or repair.

Or add/remove programs and find it then click change.

If you use Stuffplug NG (the latest beta) and have the "Custom Tabs" enabled, then this is a known bug. Just disable this feature and the options screen should work as normal.

Disable StuffPlug NG from the Plus! plugins menu, and restart MSN Messenger
This is a known bug with StuffPlug NG...

Edit: Bah ... fatfreechicken beat me to it...

after i have changed the options in msn - is it ok for me to re-enable stuffplug?
